WHEN / HOW I STARTED PLAYING
I worked near a bar that had a couple of Bonzini tables, and we would often head over there for birthdays, going away parties, etc. I had never played before and didn’t know much about it (other than what I learned from Friends!). A lot of my colleagues were from France, though, where they seem to grow up on a table, so our happy hours often migrated to the table where I did my best to spin the rods as fast as I could, hoping to touch the ball!
HOW THAT LED TO TOURNAMENT PLAY
On one of these nights out, a guy there saw us play and told us about the weekly tournaments that were held there. One night I showed up and was shocked to learn that there were rules, strategies, and some extremely talented players… and I was definitely not one of them! But with a lot of practice and encouragement, I eventually learned to make contact with the ball. And being a competitive person by nature, I had to keep trying until I could eventually start winning some games.
WHAT YOU DO OUTSIDE OF FOOSBALL
I am currently pursuing my second degree at Concordia University, majoring in Biology and minoring in German. When not in school, I can be found running half marathons, training in the gym, taking dance classes, and being the best mom that I can be to my precious 4 year old boy.
